While this action the income of 7-Eleven increased in two times and their site one day was visited by 10 million people (usually it`s visited by 400 000). iPod accessories industry also uses rule of using famous names for promotion.
So, don`t be afraid of using something popular to promote your goods. It can make a great effect.

Yet from Jack Trout’s books is known that to gain appreciable advance you must be a leader. A leader can easily protect his position. He is in more beneficial conditions than his opponents. But nowadays many marketers affirm that all bays are occupied and you can`t become a leader very easily. That`s not true. Today Apple has proved it. On an Macworld exhibition Steve Jobs introduced the world` thinnest notebook MacBook Air.

Now words “the thinnest notebook in the world” will be clearly associated with MacBook Air . And all others manufacturers that would produce probably even thinner notebooks (if it`s possible) will be just followers. Wasn`t there thin notebooks? There was, but nobody positioned it so masterly like Apple.

As you know, to get a new client is more expensive than to work with already existing one. But many companies still don`t pay any attention to this fact and start finding a new client after selling something to somebody. So they just forget about previous clients. We decided to give you 7 modi, 7 solutions, 7 advices how to retain a client and add to efficiency from working with them.

1. Give the client more, than he expects.

This fact is much spoken about. It should be actualized in the first place. To measure up client’s expectations is well, but in the age of boosted competition your attitude will be ideal. Good service and measuring up client’s expectations will not attach clients to you. What can be done? For example, if somebody buys iPod player in your shop, give him iTunes Plus card for buying some music.

2. Permanently remind about your shop.

It`s very important too. If you sell your goods and stop referring to the buyer, he will forget about you very soon. The Amazon store constantly sends me new offers about books after I’ve bought there a few books. Usually I delete them without reading, but where do you think I`ll buy next book?

3. Form communities

The Apple company is known by its devoted fans, who buy almost all company`s novelties. How can you form a community of your company if it isn`t large? At first, open a forum or start a blog, where customers can socialize. Furthermore, the most active clients should be awarded, for example with discounts for new products or just with respectful forum status like guru.

4. Always appeal to the client personally.

Who likes to receive messages from bot’s? Personal appealing to the client and writing in the and of the letter your records (name, your status in the company) you make the client sure that he`s dealing with a person and not with automatic service. We always appeal to the client using our small CRM-System Client Keeper.

5. You shouldn’t push something to the client and vindicate that you know better what he wants.

You shouldn`t change customer`s outlook and tell him that he`s wrong or is doing something not right. It`s better to frame your offer up to each client, so that it becomes really necessary to him.

6. The client is always right.

Don`t argue with the client. If he doesn`t like something, listen his opinion carefully. But it doesn`t mean that if you`ve got an advice, you must follow it. Be realist and choose those novelties which can be realized in short time and which are necessary for many clients.

7. Encourage old customers.

Evidently, old customers, who use your product or service, should be encouraged. If you have a book store, make a gathering card, if you`re selling software just like us, make new versions of your programs that a client has bought cheaper for him than for a new customer.
